Nicknames
As I grew up,
there were a number of Fayette Countians with
quaint names, nicknames, that stayed with them
through life. The stories behind these names have
long been forgotten. Most of us never knew their
real names; and as far as I know, these names were
never used in a derogatory manner or mean spirited
way. I’d like to challenge you who have lived here
for a while to recall some of these names. Several
are still alive. See if you can match their
